Finals Complete Information

Our 16th Finals is in the Books

With over 220 players starting in two different sessions on Sunday, March 1st, we played down to a single winner, Tom Cuce, who bested the field on Tuesday night, March 3rd.

Tom won close to $2,000 in buy-ins to isle events, as well as a $1,500 full size poker table. Tom defeated Michael Feroce, the chip leader from day 1, heads up with the blinds at $30,000/$60,000 with a $3,000 ante. They played for around 20 hands before Tommy won with Queens full of sixes, when he turned a Queen after a flop of A 6 6. Michael pushed on the turn & Tommy insta-called with the nuts. With that hand, Tommy had a 19-1 chip advantage and the tournament was over two hands later. Michael won an entry into the $550 March 25th isle event with $50,000 guaranteed prize pool and a $120 isle Sunday entry too.

Dwight Matlack, owner of the Sports Den, finished 3rd, winning an entry into the $350 St. Patrick’s Day tournament. Fourth place went to Taylor Brooks, who was second in chips after day 1, and he won an entry in the Saturday $200 at the isle. David Fuenmayor placed fifth and won an entry into the isle $150 bounty tournament on Thursday. Sean Lavery placed sixth and won an entry to the isle $120 Monday tournament. 7th to 10th won an entry into the Sunday evening $60 satellite, and those players were: 7th – Debbie Knight (our highest finishing woman!); 8th – Sharon Danver; 9th – Stacey Rosso; and 10th – David Torres. Each of the top ten also received a beautifully framed prize from Caran Art & Frame & Gary Catronio. 1st to 5th also received a 5 pack of car washes from Car Wash Palace in Coral Springs, as well as a 3 month subscription to ProPlayLive.com. 11th to 20th place immediately played a single table tournament for a $200 Saturday isle entry, which was won by Joe Hedleston, who had originally finished 20th, congrats Joe!
